In spring, raspberries need to be fed for the first time.

To begin, you need to make a small trench around the bush and put a mixture of 15 grams of ammonium nitrate and 10 grams of urea in it.

Then the trench needs to be covered with soil and watered generously.

Next, you need to think about mulch to protect the roots of the raspberry bushes from temperature changes and to retain moisture in the soil. Humus, peat or dry grass are suitable for such a cover.

New fertilizer should be applied during the berry flowering period. The mixture can be repeated, but it must first be dissolved in water.

Also, for 10 liters of water you need to take a little bird droppings or animal manure, as well as two tablespoons of malathion.

The resulting product must be poured into the trench and sprinkled with soil.

Autumn fertilization is also necessary. It should be done after pruning and removing old mulch. A mixture of 10 liters of water, 15 grams of ammonium nitrate, 30 grams of superphosphate and 20 grams of potassium salt is suitable for fertilization. Afterwards, you need to sprinkle everything with soil again and water thoroughly with clean water.

Everbearing raspberry varieties can be fed with nitrogen.

To do this, you need to dig up the soil between the rows and add 5 kilograms of humus per square meter.

It is also advisable to alternate mineral and organic products.
