The caterpillars act unnoticed at first. Only after some time do gardeners notice numerous holes on the cabbage leaves.
With a significant concentration of pests, only stumps may remain from the plantings. Even if it does not come to this, the quality of the harvest will be significantly reduced. To prevent this outcome, you need to drive out the caterpillars.
To do this, you need two products that can be found in almost any kitchen. You will need soda and flour. The ingredients are mixed in equal proportions.
Additionally, you can add pollen from any cruciferous plant. The resulting mixture is dusted onto cabbage leaves.
This mixture will not harm the plantings, but it will cause significant damage to pests and force them to retreat. To enhance the effect, you can spray the cabbage with a vinegar-based solution: 1 tbsp. per 10 liters of water.
