During the time spent in the cellar, dahlia tubers can dry out and wrinkle.

According to the expert of the online publication Belnovosti, scientist-agronomist, landscape designer Anastasia Kovrizhnykh , novice gardeners most often encounter this unpleasant phenomenon.

The reason is simple and lies in the violation of storage conditions - most likely, the air in the room where the dahlias overwintered was too dry.

The solution in this situation is extremely simple and consists of simple soaking.

You can dip the flower tubers in regular water. The main thing is that the liquid is warm.

Another option is to soak dahlias in a specially prepared solution, for example, potassium humate, phytosporin, NV-101, "Buton". It is quite possible that after such a procedure, even the "crackers" will wake up.

Please note that not all tubers can be revived.

If the dahlia tubers are not only dry, but also rotten, that is, wet inside with traces of rot, you should not try to revive them - it is much easier to throw them away and buy new ones.
