Another currency week has come to an end in Belarus.
The results of Friday's trading were unexpected: the dollar suddenly suffered a defeat.
The American currency, which had been strengthening continuously from October 22 to 24, gave way to the Belarusian ruble this time.
Two other major currencies suffered losses before the weekend: the Russian ruble and the Chinese yuan.
Only the main currency of the European Union managed to strengthen.
According to information published on the website of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange, on Friday the dollar lost 0.0029 points, or 0.09 percent.
Now the denomination of the American currency is equivalent to 3 Belarusian rubles 29.65 kopecks.
The euro added 0.0123 points (+0.34 percent) and continued the upward trend that began yesterday.
The current exchange rate of the single European currency is 3 Belarusian rubles 58.23 kopecks.
The Russian ruble returned to decline, losing 0.03 percent.
Now 100 RUB is equivalent to 3 Belarusian rubles 42.46 kopecks.
The yuan also failed to continue its good run, losing more than a quarter of a percent.
On Friday, 10 CNY became worth 4 Belarusian rubles 64.5 kopecks.
