The share of the dollar and euro in settlements of the BIRKS countries is decreasing and currently amounts to less than 30%.
This information was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance, Anton Siluanov, on October 10 at a seminar as part of a meeting of finance ministers and central bank governors of the BRICS countries.

As the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance said, the share of national currencies in BRICS settlements is 65%.
The share of the dollar and euro is decreasing, and is now below 30%, Siluanov added.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance stated that the BRICS countries do not plan to create a single currency.
However, according to Siluanov, it is planned to create an alternative financial settlement and payment system.
