Many people have heard of a rule that goes like this: “You cannot eat after 6:00 pm.”

It is believed that violating this recommendation can lead to stopping the weight loss process.

This is why many dieters find it necessary to give up their favorite foods late at night.

But are they doing the right thing? Is the "No eating after 6pm" rule really mandatory to follow?

There is no simple answer to these questions. First, we need to take into account one important nuance.

"Don't eat after 6pm": should you follow this rule?

Before making a decision, you need to remember what time you usually go to bed.

If it is not later than 22:00, then feel free to follow the rule.

The fact is that it is really not worth eating food 3-4 hours before going to bed.

By refusing to eat after six in the evening, a person who plans to go to bed at 10:00 p.m. will reduce the load on the gastrointestinal tract: digestion of food will become more uniform, and the process of getting rid of excess weight will not be disrupted.

However, you can move dinner to seven o'clock: there will be nothing wrong with that.

But for a person who is used to going to bed closer to midnight, it is worth reformulating the rule a little: “You shouldn’t eat after 8-9 pm.”

Previously, experts explained whether it is really worth drinking water with lemon.
