What no garden plot can do without is paths. Their design can be called a necessity.

Firstly, it is part of the landscape design. Secondly, when moving along such paths, you don’t have to worry about the cleanliness of your feet.

Yulia Tychino, an expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" in the field of design and interior, told how to effectively design paths on a summer cottage.

Planning

First, you need to take into account the route of movement to ensure convenient access to all necessary objects.

Usually the central path is paved, which is the widest. Additional paths branching off from it are usually decorative.

Materials

The main qualities that materials must have are durability, safety, environmental friendliness, only after that can we talk about external data.

The most accessible method is pouring concrete.

You can pave with bricks, but a path made of paving slabs or rubber mats will last longer. Natural stone, crushed stone and wood are used.

Decorations

But even the simplest or cheapest material will look more impressive if the paths are decorated with lighting fixtures.

It will be cheaper to border the paths with flowers, a fence or a regular border.

For reference

A garden is an area with fruit trees and bushes planted by humans. Ornamental plants may also grow in the garden, and elements of a vegetable garden may also be present.
