Decorating a small bedroom: what you need to remember
First of all, you need to visually enlarge the room. And the right choice of color scheme will help you with this.
For wall finishing, it is worth giving preference to finishing materials of light colors - this can be wallpaper, paint, decorative plaster.
It is also recommended to choose a white or light-colored ceiling. In no case should you use a dark color for wall decoration, because it visually makes the room even smaller.
If you choose wallpaper for wall decoration, avoid large patterns and ornaments.
For small rooms, it is advisable to use wallpaper with horizontal stripes, as they can visually expand the space.
We choose furniture in the same light tones, and it should not be in large quantities. This will allow you to avoid clutter in the room.
By the way, when arranging a small bedroom, you should avoid massive furniture. The best option would be compact but comfortable furniture.
As for the choice of a wardrobe, it should be chosen taking into account the number of things and the size of the room. In this case, you can choose a large wardrobe or a small wardrobe and chest of drawers.
The most effective way to visually enlarge a room is a mirror. Of course, you don’t need to hang it on the entire wall, but a wardrobe with doors with mirrors installed on them will be a big plus.
Proper lighting. Not only the appearance of the interior, but also your comfort depends on it.
Even if we are talking about a small room, one chandelier will not be enough for good lighting. If you have a suspended or stretch ceiling, you can additionally install spotlights in it.
If this is not possible, then you can use a sconce or a floor lamp. If you like to read in the bedroom, you should take care of a lamp.
Light for the bedroom should be dim and diffused. Light in a lamp, sconce or floor lamp should be more intense.
