For example, yellow can add energy and optimism to a room that is decorated in calm and monotonous shades.
If you want to add freshness or harmony, then preference should be given to blue or pistachio, and for tenderness - pink.
In this case, you can choose textiles or furniture as an accent, but it is even better to make an accent wall to make the room more expressive. But in this case, you should not overload the space with other details. The remaining walls should be left neutral. This will avoid oversaturation.
Next, you need to choose the material. If the child is active, then regular paper wallpaper is unlikely to "live" long, non-woven wallpaper is considered more durable.
