Why you can't install a small inspection hatch in the bathroom: obvious reasons

The desire to close pipes and other communications in the bathroom and toilet is understandable, but, unfortunately, it is not feasible.

Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, designer Yulia Tychino, reminds: doing this is strictly prohibited.

Instead of a solid wall, it is worth installing an inspection hatch, which is necessary not only to monitor the meters, but also to be able to carry out repairs if a breakdown occurs.

The size of the inspection hatch is directly related to what is behind it.

If a boiler is hidden in a plumbing cabinet, the opening must be large enough to allow easy replacement - otherwise you will have to take apart the wall if (or when) the need arises.

In addition, do not lose sight of the possibility of leaks, in which case you will need to have quick access to the taps that shut off the water in the pipes.

The best option from an aesthetic point of view is an inspection hatch with a hidden mechanism. This way you can make it completely invisible.

In the same case, if you do not have the required budget, opt for a cabinet with hinged doors, behind which all communications will be hidden.
