The most common mistakes were listed by designer Yulia Tychino, an expert from the online publication Belnovosti.
White floor
On a snow-white floor, any stain is visible, so you will have to keep the mop in your hands. It is also worth giving up glossy flooring - here all stains will be visible.
The best option is a dark material with a matte surface.
One switch
If the hallway is impressive in size, equip it with two switches at once - near the door and at the end of the corridor.
This way you won’t have to take off your shoes in the dark and only then turn on the light or, conversely, walk to the front door to turn off the light bulb.
Using laminate
Despite the fact that different categories of this material differ significantly in their qualities (you can also find waterproof coatings), it is not worth taking risks - there is a high probability that the floor will swell from water and dirt.
