The worst dishes in the world have been named. The anti-rating also includes a dish from a CIS country
The famous gastronomic encyclopedia TasteAtlas has published an anti-rating of the worst dishes on planet Earth.
It includes 100 names. Among them is a representative of one of the CIS countries.
The dishonorable first place on this list goes to the blood pancakes popular in Sweden.
Traditional for this country, as well as for Finland and Norway, the dish includes fresh reindeer blood, which is added to the dough.
In second place are Finnish blood dumplings from Lapland. They contain rye flour and the blood of various animals.
The third position is occupied by the Swedish pizza calzone, which is filled with hamburgers, French fries and bread.
In fourth place is the Icelandic dish made from sheep's head.
It is carefully cleaned, then boiled (without the brain), and served whole (with eyes and teeth).
Rounding out the TOP 5 are traditional Thai fried silkworm larvae, deep-fried with hot spices.
The anti-rating also includes a dish from a CIS country – the Uzbek salad “Shakarap” (42nd place).
It consists of chopped tomatoes and onions, seasoned with salt and pepper, served with pilaf.
Last year, Russian kholodets featured in the anti-rating of the world's worst dishes – it was placed in 67th place.
This year, not a single Russian dish made it onto the list.
