Sushi lovers know that this dish should be eaten immediately after it is prepared, since it loses its flavor when stored.
But what if you couldn't manage to finish the entire order in one go? Advice from the expert of the online publication "BelNovosti", chef Yulia Arkhipova, will help.
As soon as you get up from the table, take the remaining sushi and rolls to the refrigerator. Just do not leave the snacks in the door or in the immediate vicinity of the freezer: it is best to place them on the middle shelf of the refrigerator.
And one more thing: make sure there are no products with a strong smell nearby – rice will absorb it like a sponge.
Therefore, rolls and sushi should not be stored near wasabi and ginger, as this may lead to mixing of flavors and aromas.
The worst possible option is to leave the dish in disposable dishes or plastic containers. Sushi and rolls will quickly go stale and smell of plastic.
Instead, transfer them to a glass or ceramic dish and cover with a lid, cling film, or foil.
If you only have a few pieces left, you can wrap them in parchment paper with holes punched in it – this will prevent the product from spoiling.
