Bought sour tangerines? No problem!
Such citrus fruits turn into incredibly tasty and sweet fruits quite quickly and without much effort.
No complicated devices are needed.
It is quite possible to do without specific means.
You will only need some deep container. And you will also need regular water.
Yulia Arkhipova, an expert in the field of cooking for the online publication Belnovosti, a chef and fourth-class baker, told us about a simple but effective trick.
Take a bowl or some other clean and deep container.
Fill the selected container with water at a temperature of about 40 degrees.
Place unpeeled tangerines in a container and leave them for 10 minutes.
While the citrus fruits are "warming up", prepare a second container. Fill it with cold water. And make sure there is an ice cube tray in the freezer.
Ten minutes are up? Transfer the tangerines from the first container to the second. And throw in a few ice cubes while you're at it.
Due to the high temperature, citric acid in citrus fruits breaks down. And due to the temperature difference, the fruits acquire a much brighter taste.
