How to Make a Universal Seasoning at Home: Suitable for Salads, Soups, and Meat

Aromatic seasoning is the key to any delicious dish.

If you don't want to eat chemicals and artificial colors, try making a natural seasoning at home.

According to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, such a spice will make dishes sound new. It also gets "points" from the fact that it is prepared from the most common products that are often guests in your refrigerator.

Ingredients required

As already mentioned, the homemade spice contains only simple ingredients.

You will need:

  • 50 g dill,
  • 25 g green onions,
  • 250 g salt,
  • 5 cloves of garlic,
  • ¼ citrus peel,
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice.

Cooking process

Don't worry - making this seasoning doesn't require any special skills or much effort.

Start with the greens, which need to be washed and dried.

After this simple preparation, place the onion and dill, as well as the remaining ingredients, in a blender bowl. Turn on the device and beat the ingredients into a homogeneous mass.

The next step is drying in the oven. To do this, place the aromatic mixture on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and place it in an oven preheated to 80 degrees for about 2 hours.

Please note: you cannot leave the seasoning to dry and forget about it. You must take it out several times during this time to stir it.

When the specified time is up, wait until the mixture cools down, and then beat it again using the same blender.

To store the seasoning, use hermetically sealed containers.
