If you want to get tasty and juicy dumplings when you cook them in a saucepan, you should follow a certain algorithm of actions.
Detailed instructions, calculated for 500 g of dumplings, were shared by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova.
Place a saucepan filled with 1.5-2 liters of water on the fire. There should also be 2-3 bay leaves, 2-3 peppercorns and salt to taste.
When the water reaches the right temperature (no higher than 50 degrees), pour the dumplings into the pan. Don't forget to stir them - if you don't want them to stick together.
It takes about 5-10 minutes for the dumplings to reach the state of readiness, after which they need to be thrown into a colander and butter or sour cream added.
The main rule to follow when cooking dumplings is not to wait until the water boils.
Boiling water is dangerous for semi-finished products because once in it, the product boils and sticks together.
To make the cooking result even more enjoyable, you can first bring the dumplings to normal temperature by soaking them in water for a few minutes or add a small amount of cold water to the pan during cooking.
