Many housewives cannot imagine how to make mashed potatoes without using milk.

At the same time, according to the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, a tasty side dish can be made even when the milk in the refrigerator suddenly runs out, and you don’t want to go to the store for a new package.

Add sour cream

You can replace milk with sour cream, which will give the dish a special creamy texture and a rich taste.

Depending on the volume of potatoes, you will need about 50-100 g of sour cream, to which you need to add a little butter and hot potato broth.

When the sour cream has reached the required consistency, pour it into the mashed potatoes and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the cream

The cream makes the mashed potatoes incredibly tender and creamy.

In this case, you will need about 100-150 ml of cream. Before adding it to the pot with potatoes, it is also worth diluting the cream with hot potato broth.

Use broth

Instead of milk, try using vegetable or meat broth – it will give the dish new flavors and aromas.

Add hot broth gradually until the desired consistency is reached.
