Sometimes it may seem that you can’t make a delicious salad without expensive ingredients.
Many recipes call for the use of shrimp, pineapple, avocado, pine nuts and other not-so-cheap ingredients.
However, from the most ordinary pickles you can make a hearty salad that many will like, says Yulia Arkhipova, a culinary expert at the BelNovosti online publication.
- three cucumbers (not only salted ones, but also pickled ones are suitable);
- a couple of large spoons of corn;
- a clove of garlic;
- boiled potatoes (three pieces);
- a large spoon of lemon juice;
- three large spoons of unrefined vegetable oil;
- half a small spoon of hot mustard;
- a little pepper and salt.
First, chop the cucumbers in any convenient way and put them in a salad bowl. Then add the chopped boiled potatoes. Try to make sure that the components are approximately the same size.
Add corn and chopped garlic, stir.
Combine the oil with lemon juice and mustard, add to the salad and mix. Taste and add salt and pepper.
