Typically, Caucasian cuisine is meat, poultry and vegetables. Mushrooms are not so common in Georgian.
Georgian-style champignons are very filling, and after such a snack you won’t want to think about food for a long time.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to cook.
1. Choose medium-sized champignons. Wash them and cut them into two halves.
2. Peel the onion and cut it into four pieces, then fry it in a frying pan with vegetable oil over high heat for 5-6 minutes.
3. When ready, add the mushrooms and fry for another 10-12 minutes over high heat.
4. Add spices, chopped garlic, stir, remove from heat and place in a baking dish.
5. Mix sour cream, grated cheese, herbs and evenly pour this sauce over the mushrooms.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and bake for 15 minutes. When ready, sprinkle with chopped herbs and serve. Enjoy!
