Olivier salad has many qualities, but it certainly can’t be called spicy.

The dish, on the contrary, has a very restrained and laconic taste.

However, this does not mean that the appropriate flavor cannot be added, reveals the secrets of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, an expert on culinary issues.

What methods can be considered?

Substitute for sausage

If you want an interesting shade of taste and aroma, then you should boldly replace the sausage with smoked meats. You can also use ham or bacon.

Pork ham with shrimps

Yes, this version of Olivier cannot be called budget-friendly, but for a holiday or a significant date, you can consider the recipe.

It is recommended to use shrimp (boiled) with pork instead of sausage.

For a classic salad you will need about one hundred grams of boiled pork and about 150 grams of boiled seafood.

Pepper

Before dressing the salad, you will need to add a pinch of any pepper. If you want more piquancy, feel free to choose chili powder or cayenne pepper.

But you can limit yourself to paprika or black pepper.
