You can prepare crumbly rice without repeatedly rinsing it before cooking.
This was reported by the Zen channel “Technologist’s Kitchen” with reference to a recipe from culinary historian V. V. Pokhlebkin.
Firstly, it is important to strictly observe the proportions. For 200 ml of rice you need 300 ml of water.
Secondly, you need to cook rice under a lid. It should fit tightly to the pan.
Thirdly, cooking time. 3 minutes on high heat, 7 on moderate heat, 2 on low heat.
After 12 minutes, remove the pan from the heat and let it stand for another 12 minutes.
Add salt to the cooked rice and mix gently with a wooden spoon.
