Many people like coffee with milk. But often they make a mistake in the process of preparing the drink.
As a result, the resulting product is not of the desired quality.
The correct method of preparation was reported by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, cook, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova.
If we are working with a 120 ml Turk, then we need to pour 110 ml of water into it and add 11 grams of ground coffee.
Milk is recommended to have 2.5% fat content with 3% protein content. Add 20 ml, although you can add a little more or less (depending on your taste).
Milk, especially chilled milk, should be added immediately after you have brewed the coffee and poured it into the cup (in this case, the coffee continues to brew).
But if you pour cold milk directly into a hot drink, the temperature of the coffee will drop sharply and brewing will stop.
As a result, some of the flavor will be lost and the drink will simply become “watery.”
If you add chilled milk a few minutes after pouring the coffee into your cup, the taste will be better, but still not ideal.
Therefore, there is such a recommendation: after pouring the brewed coffee into a cup, let the drink sit for a couple of minutes, and then add slightly warm milk.
