Unlike other garden berries, gooseberries are preferred to be eaten fresh or made into compotes for the winter.
But there is a simple way to process this berry, which allows you to preserve all the beneficial properties and vitamins for the winter.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova, a cook and fourth-class baker, told what to cook from gooseberries for the winter without cooking.
1. On gooseberries, you need to remove the tails of the inflorescences and the stalk.
2. Peel the oranges and squeeze the juice from half a lemon.
3. Place the gooseberries and oranges in a bowl, blend into a puree or put through a meat grinder and add lemon juice.
4. Add sugar and leave the puree at room temperature until the sugar dissolves completely.
5. Mix and pour the puree into containers and put in the freezer for storage. Enjoy!
