Frozen semi-finished products are a great solution for busy people and those who value their time and do not want to waste it on cooking, and cutlets are no exception to this list.
However, not every housewife knows how to cook frozen cutlets correctly to preserve their taste and juiciness. Some defrost them before cooking, others put them in the frying pan frozen.
The correct method was described by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova.
There is no need to completely defrost the cutlets before browning them in a frying pan. Instead, leave the frozen cutlets at room temperature for a few minutes before cooking.
When they are slightly defrosted, move them to the hot surface of the frying pan.
Frozen semi-finished products should be cooked on medium heat - this way you can achieve even cooking on all sides.
When you notice a golden crust, splash some water into the pan – enough to reach about the middle of the cutlets. Thanks to this trick, they won’t remain raw inside and won’t lose their juiciness.
By the way, if you use an oven to cook frozen cutlets, the plan of action is approximately the same - preheat the oven and place the cutlets inside, no need to defrost beforehand.
