Many gourmets are tired of preparing the same salad - Olivier - for every holiday.

I would like to find an alternative to a tasty but boring dish.

And there is a good option. We are talking about a salad called "Kievskiy".

The dish is very similar to Olivier. But there are several serious differences.

Firstly, the Kiev salad is more refreshing: the presence of ingredients such as bell pepper and lemon juice helps.

Secondly, the dish is characterized by an interesting flavor combination: “light piquancy + sourness.”

Thirdly, the dish is lighter: there is no high-calorie mayonnaise.

Fourthly, there is a slight crunch: due to the already mentioned bell pepper.

The recipe for an interesting dish was shared by the expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, chef, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova .

Recipe for "Kyiv" salad

Boil the potatoes in their skins. You need 300 grams of this vegetable.

You also need to process 200 grams of carrots in boiling water.

After cooking is complete, both ingredients should be cut into cubes. The resulting pieces should be poured into a bowl.

In the same container you need to add canned peas, sliced ham and sliced bell peppers (all - 200 grams).

The resulting mixture should be seasoned not with mayonnaise, but with a mixture consisting of the following components: 150 grams of sour cream, 30 grams of mustard, 25 milliliters of lemon juice.

The almost ready salad should be sprinkled with chopped green onions. It also makes sense to add a little salt and pepper to the dish.

The result will be a very appetizing dish that will certainly be appreciated by Olivier lovers.
