Usually, jam or other winter preserves are made from berries. Red currants are no exception.
However, many housewives do not even suspect that the berry is not only healthy, but also versatile, because you can also make sauce from it.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare a sauce for meat from red currants.
1. Remove the red currants from the branches and chop them with a blender (pass through a meat grinder). If desired, rub through a sieve to get rid of the seeds.
2. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press.
3. Add garlic and spices to taste to the red currants, except for starch.
4. Place in a saucepan, bring to a boil and cook for another 30 minutes.
5. Dissolve the starch in water and slowly pour it into the sauce, then cook for another 10 minutes and pour the sauce into sterile jars and close with lids. Once it cools, put it in the refrigerator.
Serve with meat. Enjoy your meal!
