Not just buckwheat: the only Russian dish that the rest of the world can't eat – but we have it on our table every day

There are many dishes in the world that seem to be made from the most common products, but for some reason many people don’t even want to try them.

Russian cuisine can also boast something similar. Buckwheat porridge. Both filling and delicious.

But if many foreigners don’t like it, then our people love it.

However, there are also those foreigners who love buckwheat porridge. For example, the Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, even the French have started to look at it.

Therefore, it is not correct to say that “buckwheat” is 100% the same dish that no one except Russians eats.

Okroshka is a completely different matter. Foreign ladies and gentlemen are horrified when they are simply offered to try it.

Perhaps the Slavs have something similar, the same cold soup, for example.

However, okroshka with sausage, kvass, cucumbers and sour cream is not the same culinary shock that Europeans experience, Asians do.

By the way, at one time foreign citizens who dared to try okroshka (they later swore never to touch it again) claimed: this dish was created only for a hangover.

Meanwhile, it's hot here, and many people have that same okroshka on their tables. Enjoy your meal!
