Traditionally, the season of preserves opens with strawberries. The berries are used for jam and other preserves, and are also used for baking.
With fresh berries, pies turn out more aromatic, appetizing and juicy.
Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to bake a strawberry pie.
1. Beat the eggs, add salt, 150 grams of sugar and melted butter.
2. Once you have a homogeneous mass, sift the flour with baking powder and knead a soft dough.
3. Place 1/3 of the dough in the freezer for 30 minutes and the rest in the refrigerator.
4. Then place most of the dough into a baking dish, forming the sides.
5. You can use small berries for the filling. Large ones will have to be cut. The strawberries need to be sprinkled with starch mixed with the rest of the sugar, and then put into the form with the dough.
6. Grate the frozen dough on a coarse grater to evenly cover the berries.
Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for 30 minutes. Enjoy!
