30.04.2024 10:20

It is not enough to simply bake a delicious Easter cake – every housewife considers it her duty to decorate it.

You can simply sprinkle with powdered sugar, or you can make a glaze that will either stick to everything or crumble and fall off.

Expert of the online publication "BelNovosti" Yulia Arkhipova , a cook and fourth-class baker, told how to prepare the perfect glaze for Easter cake.

You will need:

  • sugar - 200 g;
  • water - 100 ml;
  • gelatin - 6 g;
  • lemon juice to taste.

How to cook

1. Take two tablespoons of water and add gelatin to it, leave for 15-20 minutes.

2. Dissolve granulated sugar in the remaining amount of water and heat the syrup over low heat.

The syrup should become thick, which will take about 6-7 minutes.

3. Then remove the sugar syrup from the heat, add gelatin and stir until you get a homogeneous mass.

4. Take a mixer and beat the mixture at high speed until the syrup turns white.

5. Add lemon juice and beat for another 30 seconds, after which you can apply the glaze to the finished Easter cakes.

Decorations must be applied to this type of glaze before it hardens.

The glaze is ideal for Easter cakes, it does not stick to the knife and does not crack when cutting the baked goods.
