French toast with egg and cheese is the perfect choice for breakfast, as it combines nutritional value, pleasant taste and ease of preparation.
The recipe for golden croutons with egg and cheese was shared by the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova .
For this you will need the following set of products:
• White toast bread – 200 g
• Eggs – 6 pcs.
• Milk – 2 tablespoons
• Hard cheese – 200 g
• Salt – to taste
• Ground black pepper – 2 pinches
• Sunflower oil for frying
Place 4 slices of white toast bread on a cutting board and use a glass to make a round hole in the center of each slice.
Make 4 sandwiches by placing a slice of bread with a hole in it on top of a whole slice of bread.
Break 2 eggs into a deep bowl, add milk, salt and ground black pepper and beat all ingredients until smooth.
Grease a baking sheet lined with parchment paper with a thin layer of vegetable oil.
Dip the bread pieces into the egg-milk mixture and place them on a baking sheet. Press them down a little to make them flatter.
All that remains is to place the egg yolk from the remaining 4 eggs into the cavity, and sprinkle the edges of the bread around the egg with grated cheese.
Sandwiches should be cooked at 180 degrees for about 8-12 minutes.
