Sausage is one of the most popular products that many people eat almost every day.

There are many different types of sausages in the world, but for some reason each of them is usually cut at an angle. Expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, suggests figuring out why this happens.

In fact, cutting sausages at an angle is due to technological reasons.

When meat is cooked, its structure changes and becomes denser and tougher. If you cut sausage across the grain, it will resist strongly.

In addition, the angled cut makes the meat plate with pieces of sausage on it look much more attractive.

Finally, cutting at an angle creates the illusion that there is more sausage than there actually is.

For example, if you cut sausage straight, then you will need 3 pieces for one sandwich, but if you cut it at an angle, 1-2 pieces will be enough.
