How to make Swiss pancakes: the pancakes are thin and incredibly tasty

Draniki are among the main “representatives” of the national cuisine of Belarus.

But we shouldn’t forget that the dish is also loved in many other European countries.

For example, in Switzerland, where a rather interesting and specific variety of potato pancakes is popular.

The expert of the online publication Belnovosti in the field of cooking, cook, fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova shared the recipe for this delicious dish.

The peculiarity of this type of dish is the complete absence of flour and egg components.

Cheese should be used as a "binding" ingredient.

First, you need to shred a kilo of potatoes. Use the side of the grater that has the big "drops".

Add salt to the resulting mass, placed in a deep container: one teaspoon will be enough.

The crushed potatoes should be poured with clean liquid at a low temperature and left in this state for about a quarter of an hour.

Then the water will need to be drained and the potatoes squeezed out. Then the mass should be peppered and mixed with 100 grams of cheese.

After that, all that remains is to fry the mixture in a frying pan. You can make a large "pie" that takes up the entire frying pan. Or you can form many small pancakes. Both sides of the dish should be browned.
