Herring under a fur coat is a salad that can undoubtedly be called a real star of family feasts, because it always sells like hot cakes.
Today, the expert of the online publication BelNovosti, chef Yulia Arkhipova, offered a not quite ordinary, but surprisingly delicious recipe for preparing this dish - with cheese. So, let's start with preparing the necessary ingredients:
• 1 mackerel or 1 herring;
• 50 g of 6% vinegar for marinating onions;
• 1 onion;
• 2 boiled potatoes;
• 2 boiled carrots;
• 1 boiled beetroot;
• 100 g hard cheese;
• mayonnaise for dressing;
• 2 boiled eggs.
Pour vinegar over the onion cut into half rings and leave for 5 minutes.
At this time, you can start cleaning the fish - you will need to get rid of the bones, and the resulting fillet should be cut and placed on a plate, thereby forming the first layer.
Place the onion on top, then the coarsely grated potatoes.
After you spread it with mayonnaise, put a layer of carrots on top, and then grated cheese.
Grease the salad with mayonnaise again, after which you can move on to the beets, which will also need to be coated with a layer of Provencal sauce.
Decorate the fur coat with finely chopped eggs on top. After the salad has been in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, it can be served.
