The main mistake of lovers of this drink is to put lemon in hot tea. Some even put lemon in a cup together with tea and pour boiling water over it.
This should never be done, as boiling water destroys all the vitamin C. The drink will, of course, be aromatic, but it will be of little use.
100 grams of lemon contains 40 milligrams of vitamin C, and after being in boiling water for five minutes, only 1.31 mg remains.
If you drink tea with lemon for a cold, wait until the drink has cooled down a little and only then add lemon.
