How Lazy Housewives Cook Plov: Replace Meat with Minced Meat – and There Will Be Much Less Fuss

Any housewife does not always have the time and desire to cook pilaf, since this dish takes a lot of precious minutes and effort.

Therefore, we offer you a lazy version of pilaf with minced meat.

This dish contains the following ingredients:

  • 600 g minced meat;
  • 1 carrot (take medium size);
  • 1 onion (you will need a large one);
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 400 g rice;
  • 0.25 cups vegetable oil;
  • 600 ml water (boiling water);
  • salt, pepper and other spices – to taste.

First, finely chop the onion, grate the carrots on a coarse grater or cut them into strips and chop the garlic in any way available.

Vegetables (carrots and onions) should be placed in a frying pan, add oil to them and fry until the onion becomes transparent.

Now add the minced meat and continue cooking on high heat.

Reduce the heat when the mince becomes golden brown. Now you can add garlic and washed rice, as well as salt and pepper.

Additionally, crush a few cloves of garlic with a knife and place it on top of the rice.
All that remains is to pour water over the pilaf and simmer under a closed lid for 15-20 minutes until the rice is ready.
