How our grandmothers fried potatoes: no one has yet come up with a better method

Grandma's recipe for fried potatoes is easy to make and does not require any special ingredients, but the dish turns out incredibly tasty and aromatic.

Let's not praise the side dish in vain - instead, we'll share instructions on how to prepare it.

Let's start with the list of necessary products. In addition to a kilogram of potatoes, it includes:

  • 0.5 kg of meat (you can take any kind – chicken, pork or beef);
  • 1 onion;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (the oil is for frying, and you may need to increase its amount);
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper.

Peeled and washed potatoes should be cut into large cubes. The meat should be washed, dried and also cut into random small pieces.

Peel the onion and chop it into half rings, and press the peeled garlic.

Fry the meat in a deep frying pan with oil for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. After this time, add the potatoes and onions and continue cooking the dish for another 15-20 minutes, stirring the contents of the pan occasionally.

Now it's time for salt, pepper and garlic.

Stir the future dish again, then continue frying – it will take about 5-7 minutes more.

That's all, actually: serve fried potatoes with meat hot, along with fresh or pickled vegetables.
