How to Serve Potatoes for the Holiday Table: No More Mashed Potatoes

The simplest and most delicious side dish is boiled potatoes with butter and fresh dill. But you can't serve such a dish on a festive table.

Puree is not much better in this regard, and therefore housewives have to rack their brains: how to serve a side dish for a festive table. With this recipe, the problem will be solved.

We cook potatoes in pots.

You will need:

  • potatoes - 1 kg;
  • champignons - 1 kg;
  • pork - 1 kg;
  • carrots - 1 pc.;
  • onion - 1 pc.;
  • cheese (any hard) - 150 g;
  • tomato paste - 1 tbsp. l.;
  • garlic - 5 cloves;
  • spices, pepper and salt to taste.

How to cook

1. Peel the potatoes, cut into strips, wash the meat and cut into 3-4 cm pieces. Mix the potatoes and meat in a deep bowl, sprinkle with the spice mixture.

2. Add chopped garlic, diced onion and grated carrots.

3. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, put them into pots, and cover with sliced mushrooms on top.

4. Cover with lids and place in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for 1.5 hours.

5. Grate the cheese and sprinkle the contents of the pots 10-15 minutes before the dish is ready. Put in the oven until ready.
