Goulash is usually made with meat, mushrooms and vegetables. This is considered a classic combination of ingredients.
But there is an alternative option – chicken liver goulash. From this offal you can prepare delicious dishes and snacks without a piece of meat.
1. Clean the liver from veins, rinse, cut if necessary.
2. Cut the onion into small cubes and fry in vegetable oil until it becomes transparent.
3. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater and fry until soft.
4. Bread the liver in flour and cook together with the vegetables for several minutes.
5. Separately, heat the tomato paste in a frying pan with vegetable oil, after a couple of minutes add sour cream, water (broth), salt and pepper, stir.
6. Simmer for a few minutes and pour the sauce over the liver and vegetables. Simmer under the lid for 10-15 minutes over medium heat.
