Preserving a started head of cabbage for a long time is a completely realistic task.
We'll tell you how to extend the shelf life of cabbage using regular paper.
The secret is to wrap the head of cabbage in paper before storing it. You will need several sheets of A4 paper. The paper should be clean.
Place the cabbage head wrapped in paper in a plastic bag and place it in the refrigerator or an unheated room (on the balcony, in the cellar).
You can also shred the cabbage, put it into bags and freeze it.
The downside of this method is that frozen cabbage can only be used for making soups or pies; it is not suitable for salads.
