Despite the incredible number of coffee machines and coffee makers that exist, no single piece of equipment can convey the full flavor of the beans like the simplest Turk.
Let's find out how to brew coffee in a Turk correctly, or more precisely, what requirements the water used for this must meet.
First of all, it is worth noting that tap water is not suitable for these purposes, since it contains chlorine, which is known to neutralize taste.
To remove this impurity, you can use a filter or ozonizer.
If you don’t have either of these in your kitchen, you can make coffee from boiled or settled water.
But the best choice would still be to use bottled or spring water.
If possible, check the chemical composition of the liquid, or more precisely, its acidity: pH can fluctuate from 6.5 to 7.5. If we talk about water hardness, the preferred range of mineralization is from 75 to 250 mg/l.
And the last important point that is directly related to water is that you should fill the Turk with it up to the place where the neck begins to narrow. This way you will definitely protect yourself from a situation in which the drink runs away before it has even had time to brew.
