Paprika "looks" great in borscht, and you can use absolutely any type of spice.

If you and your family don't mind a little spiciness, be sure to add some chili powder. A little spiciness will only enhance the borscht.

An excellent choice would be celery, which should be added to the soup at the stage of cooking the broth. At the same time, you can add large and hard stems of parsley and dill, which will then need to be removed.

Garlic is also ideal for borscht.
