How to speed up the cooking process of side dishes

Rice

It is believed that we sometimes even overcook rice. Some believe that it is enough to thoroughly rinse the product and boil it in a large amount of water for six minutes.

After that, the rice can be served. Others believe that the cooking time should be shortened in another way. To do this, wash the rice and put it in cold water for an hour, then cook it in the usual way.

It is important to remember that pre-frying rice also reduces its cooking time.

Buckwheat

It is worth noting right away that the preparatory stage takes time, but the cooking itself will be reduced, due to which more nutrients will remain in the cereal.

To do this, you need to prepare buckwheat in the classic way - wash it and sort it out.

Then we put the cereal in a deep container, pour in water (1 to 2, as usual) and add salt. After that, the cereal should stand overnight in the refrigerator.

The cooking time will be only three minutes.
