Pea soup has its own unique taste, which is why the dish has a lot of fans.
However, despite all its impeccability, preparing a dish according to the same recipe every time gets boring.
As it turns out, it is enough to replace just one important component for the soup to be completely transformed.
First, we do it the usual way. We take the required amount of smoked ribs, divide them into convenient parts. Then we send them to the pot.
After boiling, the ribs should remain in the water for twenty minutes. Then we remove them and cut off the meat.
Add diced potatoes to the broth.
We take red or yellow lentils, as these types of legumes quickly cook to a soft or even puree state - depending on your preferences.
The legume crop should be thoroughly washed and added six minutes after the potatoes.
Don't forget about the frying. You can add the fried carrots and onions to the soup about five minutes after the lentils. Then don't forget about the bay leaf and spices that you usually eat with lentils.
Salt the soup at the very end. As soon as the potatoes become "edible", all that remains is to bring the lentils to the consistency you need. A couple of minutes before the end of cooking, add the greens. Also, do not forget to return the meat component.
After you turn off the stove, hide the dish under the lid. It is better to serve the soup after 10 minutes.
