How to make mashed potatoes tasty and airy?

First, we put the peeled tubers in water. There shouldn't be much liquid: as a rule, the water "rises" literally a couple of centimeters. It's also worth remembering that it's better to boil the potatoes whole for a richer taste.

We also add one onion, a couple of bay leaves and salt.

Set the fire to medium power. As soon as the boiling process begins, reduce the heat. After 15 minutes, remove the bay leaf and cook until done.

Typically, the entire cooking process takes 25 to 35 minutes. Remove the onion and most of the water (we'll leave some liquid).

Add warm milk with butter and begin to achieve a homogeneous mass using a fork or masher. Then the only thing left to do is to add a fresh egg, which should warm up to room temperature.

Then beat again and serve.
