Almost all housewives have heard that rice needs to be pre-processed in order to be used to prepare a decent main course or a quality side dish.
If you don’t prepare the cereal, any dish will turn into mush.
This is easily explained by the high starch content in the product. For this reason, housewives usually wash rice under the tap. But this is wrong.
Regular cold water will not be able to remove excess starch properly. As a result, the rice will still stick together during cooking. Therefore, housewives have slightly modified this method to make it more effective and worthy.
You will need about a liter of water per serving of rice (a glass). Dissolve a large spoon of salt. The liquid should not be too cold, otherwise the salt simply will not be able to dissolve.
Then we begin to rinse the rice. You may need more liquid than indicated - it all depends on the quality of the rice.
Some housewives do it differently. First, they process rice in cold water. Then they take water with salt and soak rice for 30-60 minutes. This method also shows good results.
