A simple recipe for five-minute currant jam: no need to skim off the foam for hours

The only thing simpler than this recipe is berries, ground in a blender with sugar.

If you strictly follow the proportions, the jam will be ready in a matter of minutes - no more standing around at the stove.

Making jam takes quite a lot of time. Sometimes the work takes up the entire day of the housewives.

For example, you have to wait until the berries release juice, and then stir for a long time and remove the foam.

Some housewives like to cook jam slowly, while others want to do it faster. This option is ideal for the second case.

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of currants;
  • 3 cups of granulated sugar;
  • 1 glass of water.

Preparation

1. Wash the currants thoroughly, then place them in a large saucepan and fill with water.

2. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer the berries for no more than 5 minutes.

3. Remove the pan from the stove, add sugar and stir.

This completes the preparation of the jam. Now all that remains is to pour the preparation into jars and roll up for the winter.

If the amount of berries and sugar is equal, the jam will be stored and will not spoil for quite a long time.
