After eating the pickles, there is liquid left in the jar.

This is cucumber brine, which many inexperienced cooks simply throw away.

Don't make this mistake! Save the salty liquid, as it can be useful in preparing some dishes.

First of all, we are talking about salads, meat dishes and soups.

Brine as a marinade

Before heat treatment of meat, the product is often marinated.

This is necessary so that the future dish turns out soft, juicy and tender.

Kefir or vinegar are usually used as a marinade. But you can also pour cucumber brine.

Add pepper and chopped garlic to the liquid.

Keeping the meat in this mixture for eight hours guarantees that the dish will be chewy.

Brine as a salad dressing

If you have prepared a vegetable salad and don’t have any sauce, you can simply mix the brine with olive oil.

You will get a gorgeous dressing that will make the dish taste perfect.

Brine as a soup ingredient

Adding a small amount of brine to cabbage soup, borscht, okroshka or any other first course is a guarantee of a piquant flavor note.

The soup will become much more appetizing. The main thing is not to overdo it with saltiness and "sourness".
