Rules for storing radishes

It is worth leaving root vegetables for storage on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. This way, the vegetables will retain their original appearance for 4-5 days.

To enjoy fresh vegetables for as long as possible, you can use the following method. Pour literally a tablespoon of water into the bottom of a clean glass jar, then place the vegetables in the container and close tightly with a plastic lid.

Another method is to cut off the greens - the tops - a couple of centimeters away from the fruit, after which the slightly dried radish should be packed in plastic bags.

Radishes prepared for storage in this way will keep well in the refrigerator for a week to 10 days.

How to tell if radishes have gone bad

Young radishes are juicy, firm and brightly colored.

It is very easy to check the freshness of radish: you need to try to squeeze it. If the root crop wrinkles, and sometimes even bursts, then this indicates that it is overripe and empty inside.

It is not recommended to eat such vegetables: you will not get any pleasure from eating them.

If you follow all the recommendations, fresh and tasty vegetables will be available to you for a long time.
