Korean-Style Chicken Gizzards: An Appetizer for Any Occasion

Chicken gizzards are usually prepared according to recipes called "village style". However, the geography of this dish is much wider.

We will tell you how to add to your collection of original recipes and learn how to cook chicken gizzards in Korean style. This is an appetizer for any occasion.

To prepare you will need:

  • 1 kg chicken stomachs;
  • 2 onions (large);
  • Korean carrots;
  • 3-5 cloves of garlic;
  • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce;
  • 1 tablespoon of 9% vinegar.

How to cook

The stomachs need to be cleaned and boiled until they become soft.

After the offal has cooled, you need to cut it into small strips.

Peel the onion and cut into medium-sized half rings, fry until soft.

You can use ready-made carrots or prepare them yourself using a suitable grater.

Mix the gizzards with the prepared vegetables, add salt and pepper to taste, press the garlic cloves through a press and finally add soy sauce and vinegar.

Mix the appetizer thoroughly and put it in the refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours, or even better, marinate for 12 hours.

Before serving, garnish with fresh herbs.
