If buckwheat porridge is not one of your favorite side dishes, this recipe will fix everything.

Just one spice can make buckwheat much tastier and more aromatic, and its name is turmeric.

If you decide to treat yourself and your loved ones with aromatic, crumbly and delicious buckwheat porridge, you need to do the following.

Rinse the cereal thoroughly, then place it in a colander to drain off excess liquid.

Pour the buckwheat into the frying pan and, turning the heat to medium, dry the grains. No need to add oil.

If the frying pan sides are high enough, pour water over the buckwheat. Otherwise, pour the cereal into a saucepan and add water here. The correct proportions are 1 to 2.

Once the liquid boils, reduce the heat and add salt.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the butter and a tablespoon of turmeric. Five minutes before the end of cooking, add this mixture to the pan and stir well.

Turn off the heat, but don’t rush to remove the pan from the stove – cover it with a towel and leave it to simmer for another 10-15 minutes.
